We hope you enjoyed last weekend's U.S. Open. As always, this week's email is packed full of useful topics to help you get the most from your game. For example, have a read of our article on hybrids as we explore just how useful they can be. If you see anything that you'd like to try or have any questions, please reply to this email and we'll get back to you as soon as we can. Enjoy the read. |
Face coverings... Sadly due to the new tightening of COVID rules from Government, it will be mandatory to wear a face-covering in the store until further notice. I`m sure it will only be for a short period o time until the "R" rate goes back down but until then, please have one with you. |
New in store this week... We are starting to bring that Autumnal feel to the shop, sorry everyone. Out with the shorts and in with the rainwear and warmer outerwear. It`s just been delivered and gradually being displayed for you to peruse. Alongside this will be the ever-popular UnderArmour clothing lines, from water-repellant trousers to base layers that will block out that chilly breeze we have from time to time at Orsett. Our plan will be to help you layer up this winter, to keep you both warm, dry and maintain the ability to swing freely. So keep an eye on what's on the displays. I`m sure you will like what you see. One of the jackets from Sunderland incorporates their first four-way stretch panel across the shoulder and upper back area to help with a freer swing. At only £114.99,.available in both navy and gunmetal colours, it`s well worth taking a look. Last season we were asked for a half sleeve shower top, so guess what? this year we are offering you just that too. At only £64.99 it's an ideal garment for playing in while the temperature is high and the rain light. Its long-sleeve brother is just £5.00 more if half sleeves are not for you. If you are interested and would like to know more, come in and chek it out or click here and get in touch. |
Wedge Fitting Last week I mentioned our wedge fitting system from Cleveland golf would be here soon. I'm pleased to say it`s now here and we can fir for both the CBX wedges and the new Ripcore. They start from £99.99 and £129.99 (depending on shaft choice) but a further useful set of tools to help you all home in on that scoring zone even more. If you have either a slice from the tee or a problem getting a high enough flight on fairway woods or irons then come and try these, they may well be the answer to your golfing nightmares!! Having been trialled already, by member Alan Everitt, he thought " The driver looked fabulous, sat behind the ball, who wouldn`t have the confidence with it? I could not hit the driver to the right at all, the answer to everyone's prayers! I like the iron as well, especially over the SIM, David gave me to try recently, a much better-looking product and easier to get in the air". Has that wet your appetite for The Bertha 21? and Ladies don`t think you have been forgotten as we have the Reva driver head just for you too! A new era? Bryson DeChambeau’s U.S. Open victory was dominant, comprehensive and (however you feel about the man) impressive. Having transformed his body by adding extraordinary amounts of muscle, ‘The Mad Scientist’ has developed a completely unorthodox golf swing. In fact, during his winning round on Sunday, commentators compared his driver swing side-by-side with a top baseball player! The big-driving American wasn’t alone in breaking the mould, though. Matthew Wolff, the eventual runner-up, moves his knees more like an Elvis Presley dance move than a PGA Tour winner’s golf swing. Both of these men, alongside world number one Dustin Johnson, go to show that there is definitely no one way to swing a golf club. At the end of the day, it's all about shooting the best score you can, regardless of how you get there. So, no matter what your swing looks like, let us help you make the most of it with some tailored one-to-one coaching. Simply click the button below or call us on 01375 891797 to get in touch. |
