We`re back Monday everyone..... From June 15th we will be able to welcome you back into the Pro Shop. We have out COVID security in place for some time and we are eager to see you back.,The sanitiser is topped up and vital signage to avoid other store users is in place. It won't be difficult to avoid them as we will only be allowing two people in-store at any one time. Please remember to use the car park door to enter and use the golf course door to leave. By now many of you have become familiar with "flow" around certain stores and we need to continue this for the safety of both you and the staff in-store. Should you wish to pick anything up to view clearer, we will be supplying gloves on entering. Please ask for them. We have also provided a " safe viewing "area to allow time to consider any items you may want immediately. Take a quick look at the video to remind yourself of what to expect from Monday. Of course, our Order, Collect and Play is still available, just use the same options to get in touch and we will have everything required ready to pick up next time you come to play. Phil and I are both looking forward to the challenges of helping you with areas of your game that are a little rusty since returning and the ever-changing conditions of the course that keeps testing your skills and know-how. Orsett member, Linda Cross has already put her early lessons to good use and gone under her handicap three times since lockdown was lifted, pretty good for one of the essential NHS staff don't you think? Thank you to those of you who already feel comfortable enough to use our custom fitting service. I feel like I repeat myself, but clubs are among the most expensive single items purchased and to me not being fitted makes no sense. Even if it is just to confirm you can walk away with something on the shelf. It only takes a little of your time to make those rounds of golf all the more enjoyable, without it, it could be an expensive mistake. Next week brings the return of live football.their is plenty of conversation on the Premier League and will Liverpool "do a Newcastle" under the pressure of now in 30 years? Playing behind closed doors may be their only chance, without the passionate fans of Anfield it might make a difference if the opposition can keep the doors closed on the goal who knows. They deserve the title already and finally, after 30 years the trophy cabinet must have space in it ready and waiting. Spare a thought for some of the lower sides, no not West Ham, Villa or Norwich, I'm thinking of League 1 and 2. With their positions finally decided on points per game meaning Clubs changed position and miss out on possible promotion. Not everyone could be pleased with any decision but it's agreed with so just look forward and get ready for your next game whatever league its in. We look forward to seeing you very soon, keep an eye out when you come through the store, there will be tantalising opportunities to welcome you all back. Regards, David |
