Do you know the new rules? Our rules night last week went off with plenty of interaction from the audience. The new rules have clearly made a mark with many people already. It`s the terminology that we all need to get used to including the 5 playing areas of teeing ground, penalty areas, bunkers, greens and general play area. Penalty drops too, where to receive a 2 club arc and when to receive a 4 club arc confused a few. Before you plan to play this weekend have a look on the R&A website, there is also a simple app that can be downloaded and very easy to follow which just might help you in time of need on the course. Or continue to do as before and call us in the Pro Shop. How is your game? Some of you are taking the opportunity of very little competitive golf to get the rust off those swings and get to work on the weaker areas of your games. It`s good to practice but specifically parts that aren`t your best. Improve them a little and see how the stronger elements of your game in turn, improve. Perhaps you would like to learn the secrets behind long bunker shots or getting down in two more often? Whatever the issue, Phil and I are here to help you improve. It`s a good time to take a look at your clubs as well. Those grips could be due for replacement and new grips will really help. 1. To stop you gripping too tight 2. Helps to all the arm muscles to relax and move the club faster 3. Reduce the club spinning in the fingers. 4. Save wear and tear on your glove 5. Will give a feel of new clubs if a new set is not on the horizon. If you have all 13 clubs re-gripped we will only charge you for 12. Remember we are here to help you get the most from your game.
