Who would he have left out of the chosen four? Poulter? No chance, Poults is Europe’s Mr Ryder Cup and has been playing some superb golf all year and a maiden win in America shows he still has more than enough game in this format. Casey? Too good a player full stop, should be a shoe in every Ryder Cup and in full flow, one of Europe’s best, only a Major is the only thing missing from his CV. Stenson? The Swede has had an injury this season hence not seeing him at his best, but a perfect partner for Rose and the competition will get him through the pain barrier if need be. Garcia? Europe need the happy go lucky Spaniard on board, he can get under the US skin mentally. He will be "stoked" like all Spaniards for this event. Personally Bjorn couldn`t really pick anyone else. Wallace and maybe RCB, but he looks too flaky with a wedge and putter in his hand under pressure. Bjorn needs Rory, Rose, Poulter and even Fleetwood to be at their very best and Hatton to stop the tantrums and the blame game. He could well end up a top points scorer for Europe if he does. Furyk still has one to choose! DeChambeau has been on fire since he was eliminated from the top eight and won the next two events against stella fields. The Captains problem will be who he can pair him with? Trying to find someone on his wavelength might not be easy, a certain Mr T Woods is back too. A world ranking of 1000th in January, the greatest player in modern history is playing better each month and back in the top 30 already. A seemingly easy going relaxed Woods will be a danger and one heck of a 4 ball partner. Furyk must be so pleased he could pick Woods and Mickelson who both just missed automatic selection so an easy choice for the Captain’s picks. Perhaps these two could be paired together again now they will not have to carry the expectation on their shoulders in what looks to be one of the most formidable teams ever to come to Europe. It`s bubbling up nicely!
