In other news With this year’s big wedding news now finally exhausted, tabloid talk has been switched back to football and the Premier League manager’s merry go-round and England’s squad to challenge for the World Cup. It seems ridiculous that unless the team wins a Champions League place or the FA Cup, its time for change. All three relegated teams will have changed their manager/coach for the new season to come, but a team saved from relegation and finishing in mid table still means you're probably out of the job. What do the "owners "expect? There is a huge divide below Champions Man City with the most secure manager, the next five Clubs and then the rest. "The Rest" must surely review what a successful season is and remaining in the league dripping with gold is perhaps all they can look to? There could still be more managers to go, what a crazy business it is! Meanwhile, Harry Kane has been announced as the England Captain. Gareth Southgate must see him as the only cert for a place in the team. It is good to see some young players selected such as the Liverpool full back, Alexander Arnold, who has been a find of the season. For England's sake, I hope the manager plays him in the tournament and not just take him along for "experience". Kane of course believes England can win the World Cup. Some things never change in the England camp....or the Welsh, Scottish and Irish ones (as in they aren't playing in it). As difficult as it is for me, let's hope the other secure Premier League manager can come home Saturday night with the Champions League trophy. Mr Klopp is proving to be one of the best and has put together a formidable looking team. Who would have thought that a Thunderbird (Virgil...keep up) would have come to the rescue of their defence in January, especially after selling their "Brains" to Barcelona in the same month? It has allowed their best and most consistent player to go about his business and contribute even more. James Milner has been the unsung hero and with two exceptional full backs in place he secures the midfield allowing "Mighty Mo" and the others forwards to take the limelight. I can imagine a goal fest Saturday night, as a neutral it should be as we like to watch football, ENTERTAINING!
