Issa Pooloo, he has tour standard short game skills and shot an amazing gross 71, nett 66 in The Scrutton Cup .The five handicapper played a fabulous round especially as he was chased home by many of Orsett's Category One players, who finished just a shot behind. Mark Whiten was runner up with a fine nett 68 playing off a handicap of 1. He was 4 under par after 10 holes but couldn't find another birdie on the back nine. Third was County Senior Champion Steve Rooney, with another sub 70 round and net 68 and also Don Vidgeon 71, nett 68. 

The Lombard Pro-Am qualifier was held at the same time and with Issa deciding not to enter (doh), Mark Whitten now represents Orsett with myself in July around Walton Heath, one of Surrey's finest golfing establishments not to mention the food afterwards. There were so many under par scores this weekend and credit must go to the green staff .The greens were fast and true, any miss was pilot error. Great playing once again gents and looking forward to July already "Longmooie".

All you have to do is make a personal appointment, bring your 7iron ,glove and shoes and let me do the rest. Simple! We've had some great results recently, one appointment added 25 yards to his iron carry by changing shafts. Goes to show how important custom fitting your clubs is.

This weekend is the FA Cup semi-finals, two great games among four of England's finest 6 teams. Spurs vs Chelsea, a massive London derby will be a huge test for both as they also vie for the Premier League title. Only four points separate the two sides when just three weeks ago it was ten. Arsenal vs Man City will be just as big. Pep wants silverware the first year in England and could this be Arsenals last chance if he decides to hang up his anorak? Whatever happens it's squeaky bum time for many teams. Finally a season with plenty of clubs still having something to play for. 


 

Great to see Luke Donald back in the mix at his "beloved "Harbour Town last week. 'Luuuuuke' has an incredible record there which is better than most people's careers! Five top threes! Amazing really that the tightest course, although not long has worked in his favour considering his driver is his Achilles heel.
