“Best thing I ever did for my golf...”
John Ramsay, self-professed golf nut, has just recently invested in some new Mizuno irons. He wanted to be fitted, which wasn`t new to John but Mizuno products were.
He said, “The DNA system was so helpful, just three swings and out came the suggested build for my clubs. The feedback was a great assurance that I had the right product in my hands this time. I have now got the feel from the clubs I`ve been looking for that other clubs haven`t quite given me. The MP54 iron head together with a graphite shaft has produced a fabulous club I have total confidence in. As well as having the right lie option to the clubs they look fabulous. To be able to try my exact build on the practice ground and see the ball flight just confirmed the DNA results the analyser gave me.
I just hope I can do them justice!"
If you are considering new irons, this fitting process will only help. Like John you can walk away satisfied you have the right product to help you enjoy your game all the more. Get in touch the usual way, via phone, click here or through the Pro Shop and let`s put you on the road to success.
Thanks to all those who have been taking advantage of the Titleist reductions. Stock is disappearing so if this is a product for you get in quick before it`s all gone. At the moment we have a few drivers left but more fairway and hybrid metals. The product is excellent, I put a 3 hybrid in my bag this season and haven`t looked back. So what are you waiting for?
Perhaps the new G30? The irons are now available and the first couple of orders have been placed! Thank you to Steve and James, you will not be disappointed!
The new metals are due any time with demos available to try for those who are interested.
Following on from last week’s Open, here`s our sweepstake winner, John Charlick, who was so glad Rory bounced back to form. So was his wife Irene as he has agreed to go “halves” on his windfall. Lucky her!
At the Seniors Open in Wales, Tom Watson at 64 was playing legendary golf until the back nine where the classic links conditions got the better of him, Montgomerie ever-consistent finished runner up with a closing 69, so no grand slam for him but Mr Langer - unbelievable! On a dry bouncy course with Sunday’s 25 mile an hour winds, Langer wrapped up the Seniors Open with a 4th sub 70 score of the week. He lapped the field winning by so many that all the commentators were wondering if it could have been a winning performance had the likes of Rory, Tiger etc. been in the field. Langer seemed to have the ball on a string from the tee and hitting all his putts into a funnel. Probably his finest ever win and that includes either of his Masters titles. He might need to get “Langered” to give any of the other seniors a look in this season
Kids on the back block...
Schools out and the Cadets are in full flow. Last week’s Coronation Cup went to Harry Robson with his best gross score in a competition, a 74 for a nett 65. Runner up was back to form Zach Chegwidden with a nett 68 and Peter Aves nett 68 on countback.
This weekend’s Stableford went to another Cadet, James Kenyon, who won on countback with 41 points from Phil Beckwith and Zach again. Great scoring with even better handicap reductions, well done to all.
For his third runner up spot in a week Zach was second 1 shot behind the winner in The Orsett Junior Open with a gross 75 and Cass Steffens a 76. Winner of the nett event was Tommy King who had flown in from Dubai with a nett 66. Well done to all the Cadets, keep up the good work.
Enjoy your golf, work hard at it.
